Google acquired feedburner at 100 million dollars with purpose. The general idea is to burn your original feed url at feedburner.google.com for ad displays. My original url is…
The burned copy will look something like this,
Looking at the actual feedproxy url raised the question, “What’s so different about the migrated feed?”. I found out in the latter, that the adsense for feeds shows up for your subscribers in Google Reader and not on the original url.
Next, login to feedburner.com, click your feed title, the “Edit Feed Details”.
Change the “Original Feed” url to the new feedproxy url obtained from google.
Migrating to google in a way where I don’t have to update urls was important to me. If you have feeds all over the place, this would be important to you also.
Starting with the original and burning it at Google as described above and as shown in the image below, will allow you to continue using the feedburner url you started with.
There’s no need to update your urls. Any syndications will still be in place using this method. If you’re using a feedburner redirect, you’d be able to use either of the three urls.
The main reason for the migration is to participate in the adsense for feeds program. The last step to accomplish this, is to login and setup the actual ad units. After clicking the “add”, be sure not to miss the save button.
Some bloggers like dailyblogtips are waiting to hear feedback and opinions before merging their feeds. Have you migrated yet? Feel free to share your experiences.

You are a very smart person!
Thank You for posting this. I’ve been looking for useful information on this exact topic! Getting feeds organized and syndicated can be a chore for sure! Thanks for the tips.
I never try that before. But you already open my mind to make money from RSS. I just know that share RSS also use some of our bandwidth. With this strategy at least we can get something.
