Its been great using Adobe InDesign CS3 to create the first newsletter for this site.  But now I’m wondering about what’s new in Adobe InDesign CS4 for upgrading.  So what’s exactly does CS4 offer that the previous version don’t?

The top new features are Live Preflight, Customizable Links Panel, Page transitions in SWF and PDF files, Conditional text, Export to Adobe Flash CS4 Professional (XFL), Cross-references, Smart Guides, Interactive document design with SWF file export, Spread rotation, and Smart Text Reflow.  

Wow, well that’s surely a handful.  Especially since the previous version was already awesome and complex enough for the average beginner.  So a new Adobe Indesign CS4 software is highly recommended for new users.  For the folks who already have a copy, here’s the upgrade to Indesign CS4 link.
