We’ve missioned to create email forms, but have you ever wondered how to reset your site’s form?
Adobe Dreamweaver has an add a reset button to a form function where users can easily clear a form entry. This feature was added to the Buy Top Sirlion Steaks search form. A user can type in a search query, then use the reset button to clear the query for a new search term.
The Dreamweaver CS4: The Missing Manual teaches all about how to set your form back to its original values on page 419. There’s an explanation on this very same topic in the Dreamweaver CS3: The Missing Manual version as well.
I am really learning more than I can imagine in these illustrated books and wanting to share this quick tip with you! We should be careful about how we use the reset button on our website especially if we require that users submit information. The reset button can be mistaken for the submit, or can accidently remove customer entries if clicked.
To change your links site wide click Insert > Form > Button. This is when a window appears so that you can input your input tag attributes. Be sure to check the reset radio button in the properties window as shown below.
