How to Add 3D Tunnel Effect In Flash to Dreamweaver Template

I was looking at the some of the best flash tutorials and decided to create a 3D Tunnel Effect in Flash. This is certainly something that I could add to my GrowLongerNails.com dreamweaver template. It would spruce it up a little more, especially since I’ve already created my first video using Adobe Premier video for purposes of showcasing it.

The “3D Tunnel Effect in Flash” is presented as a tutorial at wipeout44.com. The author provides the source files too, so guess we can call it a free flash template. Now for figuring out how to edit the fla ???

Editing the Color

I ran into the issue of changing the color of the scene to a different blue shade. I found a cool way to change colors via actionscript, but the solution is to create a new shape on top of the scene after selecting your desired color.

Editing the Site Name Tween

If you play the movie, you’ll notice the Wipeout44 site name branding. It took sometime to figure out how to change that to my own adobe-masters.com site name, as shown below…

Hey, I’ve just displayed flash on a wordpress blog!

Its actuallly at tween labeled Tween 2. I’ve decided to use Adobe Illustrator to create my graphic for the tween. So guess what, you’ll have to make a tween and then import it into the flash file if you choose this route. Visit How to Create A Tween Graphic In Illustrator, Import to Flash for guidance.

Whatever you do to create a text or graphic, use the very same Tween 2, while deleting the graphic to replace it with your own graphic or simple text..

Removing Shape Text

Lastly, I was compelled to remove the text in the lower left corner that displayed the shape specification. Just use the selection tool and press delete if you agree.

After editing the free flash template, you’ll want to integrate the html code on your site using dreamweaver or any other html editing software. The html code is found in the html file. As a last effort, publish your new flash movie.
