How to Add Amazon Widgets to Dreamweaver Templates via AP DIV

The affiliate amazon widgets are just great for dressing up a web page as well a great commodity for monetization.  Today we’ll play with the Slide Show Widget.  Want to make money online? The slideshow widget lets you make a stylish slideshow from the images of products in the Amazon catalog.

How to Add Amazon Widgets to Dreamweaver Templates via AP DIV


The slideshow widget was added to the page in dreamweaver as a AP DIV.  Learn the definion of AP DIV and see a video on how to insert and modify them on the What is AP DIV link.

Getting Started. Lets start by grabbing your amazon Slideshow widget code, then head over to Adobe Dreamweaver and open up a new html page.

Insert a new AP DIV.  Just place the insertion point or cursor on the exact location that you want to show the widget, then select Insert > Layout Objects > AP Div.  Alternatively, you can draw out a AP DIV in the Layout category within the Insert bar, just click the Draw AP Div button .

Insert Widget Code. Now switch over to the “Code” view.  Learn more about code view and code view tips at layersmagazine.com. Take a look at the code below (click here to see the code if you’re viewing this from a reader or by email).  Find where it says “Place the amazon widget code here”.  That is where you’ll insert your new amazon widget.
