We resize images all the time.  But what if you’re your putting a collage together, or building a website that will display a bunch of pictures?  I needed to size images for the left column of the Adobe-Masters.com homepage.  Most of the time it will look best if each picture is displayed using the same size dimensions.  Here we will discusss how to resize a batch or group of images all at one time for resizing many images.

How to Auto-Resize Image Batches In Photoshop

I found an excellent tutorial at Schwippy.com on Making Thumbnails Automatically in Photoshop.  The tutorial is well written and explained well.  I was able to follow the tutorial easily and my image batch was resized in about fifteen minutes after setting up the Action Script Pallet.

Basically, you’ll set up a process in Photoshop to get your photos, resize them, and save them as thumbnails.  It is accomplished by visiting Windows > Actions to record the process.  Then head over to File > Automate > Batch to make it happen.
