This is an introduction to the Do It Myself Website tool. Its a web-based application that lets you quickly and easily create a professional-looking website, without any technical expertise.

I found this unique application at register.com. I like the fact that they help small businesses find there way online by making an easy way for the owners to create there own pages. They provide business email accounts, ssl certificates, and domain registration as well.

The nice folks at register.com gave me a chance to browse their site building control panel. They let me in as an insider to test it all out for ya. So now I can give you a sneak peak on how simple it is to create your page.

After logging into the account manager, I was able to find the domain name I wanted to design. I was just in the right place to build, edit and publish my site. Here’s what the access screen shows…

The yellow button saying “Build, Edit, and Publish My Site” is what we need to click to get started. A new browser window should open and place you inside the Register.com Sitebuilder Control Panel. You may now design and publish your website.

You can see from the image above that you can choose from a variety of ready made templates. It doesn’t matter if your merchant, plumber, or hair designer, there’s something there to fit anyone’s business need. I choose the “Business Services” template for this showing. Here’s what showed after the “Business Services” click…

The business page showed up fully editable and was already set up with text, images, and a place for contact information. The application allows users to click in the “Edit text” buttons to insert information for their respective business. There’s a photo gallery that is available for your use, less you’d like to use your own.

After creating the first page, you may want to move on to create even more pages. Here’s a look at the menu bar that will navigate the way.
