How to Resize Images, Shapes - Height, Width Dimensions In Illustrator

We’ve already resized images and shapes by selecting and dragging them with the mouse.  But what if we need a specific dimension?  That is, a specific or special height or width?  Its both a beginners question, and an important question.

Actually, you are transforming your entity.  Therefore goto Windows > Transform.  A transform palette should appear.  This is where you’d enter the specifics of the shape or image height and width dimensions.  Enter the width where it says W.  Enter the height where it says H.
